Siblings Rowan and Stacey Ingpen and their step-father, Richard
Marlow, moved to Renwick in January 2010, following the purchase
of the well-established Woodbourne Tavern.
We were virtual strangers to Renwick, having visited the area
only a handful of times before moving here, but since then we
have become fully immersed in the village life of Renwick.
Our family moved from the Hawkes Bay where we all had very
different career paths. The move has been fantastic and working
together as a family has been a great challenge and
privilege. Rowan a mechanic, Stacey a primary school teacher and
Richard a farmer, have all enjoyed the changes in their
professions.
The move to Renwick happened after a phone call out of the blue
from a family friend who was also a hotel broker and knew we
had been in the hospitality business before.
We have all enjoyed the lifestyle and laid back, relaxed
atmosphere of Renwick and the loyal customers that support the
Woodbourne Tavern.
Rowan is an active member of the Renwick Rugby Club and as
captain of the reserves team, regularly makes the short walk up
the road with team-mates to the pub after matches.
The family welcomes you to the Woodbourne Tavern and Motels and
we look forward to your company.
